I was going through my Facebook group when one of the members - a FB friend - mentioned that by accident she made a nice caramel glaze by combining tahini and maple syrup. That caused me to jump from my comfy chair and run to my tiny kitchen. In my head I already envisioned a cookie.
Mix all the ingredients and spoon out on parchment paper. Bake at 300F for 18-20 minutes. Take out and allow them to cool down. Enjoy!
It was late in the evening when I realized I had nothing to feed my kids for breakfast the next morning before sending them off to school. I ransacked the fridge and pantry trying to come up with something nourishing, satisfying, fulfilling, and delicious.
With that in mind I took out the bag of frozen berries from my freezer. Then I checked my pantry. The bag of chia seeds caught my attention. All the good stuff I knew about this superfood started to flow into my head. Protein, Magnesium, Fiber, Vitamin C, Antioxidants, Omega–3, and more... These small tiny seeds are no joke. So I grabbed the bag together with a bag of raw cacao powder that was next to it. Another top source of antioxidants, and it contains an abundance of magnesium and iron. At this point I had an idea for breakfast! I even made up the name for it. It's gonna be called Berry-Choco-Chia! Little I knew it would become one of the kids' favorite breakfast! It is so easy to make and it is nourishing, satisfying, fulfilling, and delicious. Just the way I wanted! Kid's have it at least once a week. It is also good as a dessert.
